General / About Me

What do you actually do?

I’m on a mission to try and make health feel simpler for the great many normal, imperfect, busy people like me!

I do this more practically by helping health tech or wellbeing companies build more effective, useful products and services, providing keynote talks and workshops (for clinical and non-clinical teams), and writing a lot about these subjects. I also spend a huge amount of time thinking about, researching and exploring health and wellbeing more generally, integrating all sorts of areas of study (from soil health to neurolinguistic programming, data architecture to cooking skills) in a way that better reflects the complex realities of actual life.

What is a health strategist?

I define my own role as a health strategist as someone who helps individuals, teams or organisations see the bigger picture of what actually drives health - and then turn that insight into clear, practical action. It’s part translator, part systems thinker, part practical guide.

Are you still practicing as a doctor or nutritionist?

No. I stepped away from clinical practice a number of years ago to focus on strategy, teaching, consulting and writing. I no longer hold a licence to practice medicine with the General Medical Council, but I am still registered as a doctor with them. Having said that, my medical and nutritional training still inform everything I do.

Do you offer 1:1 support for individuals?

Not at the moment. My work is focused on consulting with organisations, teaching through digital and written products, and speaking. However, my upcoming digital course, book and newsletter are designed with individuals in mind. For safety reasons, however, I’m afraid I’m also unable to answer personal health queries by email or DM; please consult with your own medical team or appropriately qualified professional.

Please note that all my content is for education only; it is not medical advice. Always consult your own healthcare provider before making personal health decisions.

Courses & Inspiration

Do you teach online?

Almost! I’m currently getting ready to launch the beta version of my core course Simple Health, designed to help people move from health confusion to calm clarity. Once places are open, you’ll find a link on my courses page. The beta version will help to shape and inform the full version, which I plan to release in Summer 2026.

What makes you different to the many other wellness ‘influencers’ and experts?

Most wellness advice online is now optimised for clicks, not for real life. It’s often all-or-nothing, idealistic, sometimes misinformed and disconnected from how people actually live, especially those of us also juggling jobs, kids, responsibilities, or health challenges of our own.

I’m not here to sell perfection or trends. In fact, over the past almost 20 years, I’ve seen just how much confusion, shame, and false hope can be created in the name of “wellness.” What I try to offer instead is grounded, science-informed, and honest. I’m not perfect, and I don’t think any of us can be. I aim to help people find their Good Enough version of wellness; applicable rather than aspirational information.

Writing & Speaking

Are you available for media commentary, Podcasts or guest articles?

Yes. I’d love to help contribute quotes, insights or articles on health, prevention, realistic wellbeing, and systems change. See my Media page for details.

To book me as a podcast guest, please click here to see suggested topics and to get in touch.

Can you provide expert content for my business / start-up?

Please get in touch if you have something specific in mind.

Do you speak at clinical or corporate events?

I work with both. I love working with new groups, and will tailor every talk to suit the audience, whether it’s a professional healthcare team or a non-clinical group looking for clarity and inspiration. Please see my speaking page for more information.

If you’re planning a clinician wellbeing event specifically, do check out We Are Off Call here. If you’d like to discuss any of this further, please do book a free Clarity Call.

When is your book coming out?

Great question! I’m currently seeking the right publisher, and in the meantime, I am continuing to work on it in the background. For book-related enquiries, please drop me an email: rosamundyoxall@protonmail.com with BOOK in the heading.

I am represented by Clare Grist-Taylor from the Accidental Agency.

Consulting

Who do you consult with?

Startups, scale-ups, founders, innovation teams, NHS services, digital health platforms and wellbeing brands - especially those wanting to build something credible, useful, and with a deep understanding of the wider determinants of disease (from lifestyle to behaviour, environment to financial pressures).

Do you sign NDAs?

I work with confidentiality and discretion as standard. Before undertaking any consulting work, I will send over my standard contract to ensure we’re clear on expectations, limitations, IP and various other necessities, and will happily sign your own NDA as required.

What kind of problems do you help solve?

Clarity around strategy, product fit, clinical relevance, user experience, behaviour change, messaging, system alignment, and sustainability….and a million more things. I call on all of my varied experiences in consulting, including my experiences of burnout as a founder. Sometimes our discussions are as much about team resilience as they are about product-market fit!

How much do you charge?

The best place to start is with a free 15-minute Clarity Call to see if we’re a good fit to work together. If we are, I’ll suggest the best package for your goals and budget.
