Health Strategy Consulting
Subject matter expertise for health tech, health services and entrereneurs
What I do
I help people building health and wellbeing products and services figure out what will actually work for real people, in real life.
That means turning good ideas into practical, reliable, and sustainable solutions that genuinely improve health outcomes (rather than just looking good on paper).
Whether you're a founder, part of a start-up team, or working inside a larger health organisation, I’m here to help you get inspired, take meaningful action, and build something that actually makes a difference.
I come to this work after spending the best part of 20 years exploring health from a great many angles. Initially on the NHS frontline as a clinician, then in private functional medicine and nutrition practice, as a health writer and content editor, health tech co-founder, and more recently as a consultant supporting innovation across the UK health system. I’ve also lived it personally: managing entrepreneurial life, motherhood, and burnout (Pro tip: don’t launch a health tech start-up with a newborn during a pandemic…).
This has led to me caring deeply about making health feel achievable again. Not just for our patients or clients, but for the brilliant people doing the work to create our desperately needed changes too.
Who I work with
Entrepreneurs and founding teams of health or wellbeing start-ups
Scale-ups looking to refine, optimise or expand
NHS teams or service leads designing new pathways
People creating digital tools, services or content in the health space
I also speak with other clinicians considering a career move or keen to explore alternative or portfolio paths.

What I Bring
I know just how hard it is to build something that’s both effective and sustainable in the health and wellbeing space, whether you’re working with the NHS or going it alone. I’ve also seen what works, and why so many great ideas don’t make it. This field is complex, but it matters deeply. That’s why I aim to bring together everything I’ve learned - clinical, commercial and personal - to help people like you build solutions that truly make a difference.
-
If you’re stuck, spinning your wheels, or unsure which direction to take, I can help you zoom out and get focused on what matters most. This might just save you months of costly trial and error.
Spoiler alert: I’ll often keep bringing us back to two essential questions:
What do people truly need and want? (It sometimes isn’t what they think they need and want)
Does your product actually deliver on that promise? And can you prove it?
-
I understand the science of health - but I also understand how people actually live, think, and behave.
Creating meaningful change is as much about psychology, social context and systems as it is about evidence and logic. We need to get under the skin of it all to build products and services that really work.
I also bring the benefit of a strong network across the NHS, digital health and wellbeing spaces. Sometimes it’s not just what you know, but who to ask (or bring in) next.
-
I work hard to connect the dots between health, behaviour, business and wider systems. I have a pretty good understanding of how things work inside the NHS, in digital health, and in private wellbeing - because I’ve worked in all of them. But I also have a strong focus on commercialisation and financial sustainability, because even the best health ideas don’t help anyone if the business behind them can’t last.
-
Sometimes, we just need a enthusiastic, experienced sounding board. Someone who can challenge your thinking, share ideas (my superpower is that I never run out of ideas, so don’t need to gate-keep the good ones), or give you a much-needed pep talk.
Building something meaningful in health isn’t easy. I get it. So I recognise I’m often here to remind you why your work matters, and help you to move forward with renewed confidence.
-
As well as my medical training, I also have a MSc in Nutritional Medicine, training in functional medicine and many years experience communicating, thinking about, and integrating it all.
I have assimilated this into a series of original frameworks, methodologies and ways of thinking about health, that I draw on throughout my consulting work to help you optimise your product or service design to meet the real needs of health in the modern world.

“Rosamund brought clarity and enthuasim to our project, particularly with regard to our users’ unique perspectives and drivers. There is plenty of room for making wrong and costly assumptions when building in healthcare, and working with Rosamund really helped to shape various aspects of our offering. We think our product will be much stronger as a result of her input”
